Y O U R A P P O I N T M E N T
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you more about what to expect at your appointment with us. First and foremost, thank you for booking online. We take all of our bookings electronically to ensure that you get the appointment you want, with who you want, and nothing is lost in communication via email, phone, or text. You can always reach our online booking at amaraankeny.com. Your appointment will include a consultation, pricing estimate, service, wash, blow dry, and style. PLEASE do not wear something valuable or important to you to a color appointment at Amara. While staining is not common or normal we really believe it is just best to leave your favorite clothes as home and wear something with a low collar in a plain color so we can see the hair better at the end. We will not replace your clothing for you if it gets color on it during a color appointment.

Amara is a fully licensed salon filled with fully licensed hairstylists. However, we consider ourselves to be a training salon for new hair stylists. We love to get new stylists and train them the Amara way. From consultations, application, to the final result, they are trained specifically to deliver an Amara approved finish to your hair. If you choose to book with a level 1 or 2, you can expect your appointments to take a bit longer, have more questions up front, and might have someone else come and assist during any part of the service. This is how we teach stylists to be great and efficient along the way. Level 1's and 2's are specifically priced lower to allow for some grace as they learn the ropes! Level 4, 5, and 6 Amara stylists are confident, efficient, and have high demand on their time behind the chair. Some have a leadership role within Amara and use their days behind the chair to help train our newest stylists. We hope that you will take the time to read their bio's, check out their socials, and choose the stylist that is best for you and your needs!

Each guest is provided a full consultation at every appointment. We love to see your pictures and inspiration and love to share our ideas as well. You can expect to go over ideas, options, and pricing during your consultation. If the price you are quoted doesn’t fit your budget please ask for other options before any color is applied. We want to always do our best to respect your budget and boundaries when it comes to your hair!
S T Y L E
Each guest leaves Amara fully styled and sometimes even with a bonus braid or fun twist! We love to take pictures of our work for our social media accounts and appreciate so much when you share our work as well! Tag us!
FIX IT POLICY
What if you don't love your hair? That's okay! It happens! We understand that sometimes there is a lack of communication on the stylists' part and we don't always have the same vision as you. Please reach out to your stylist directly or to management at amara.hairandmakeup@gmail.com. We are happy to fix any problems with your cut or color if notified within ONE week of the original service. Please note that there is a difference between a “fix” and changing your mind. We will NOT issue a refund without doing a fix first. A fix must be done with your original stylist. We view fix appointments as a huge learning opportunity and appreciate the feedback and grace so much!

NO SHOW POLICY

If you do not notify us within 24hr of your (color) appointment you will be charged for 50% of the scheduled service. Our stylists are paid commission. That means if you don't show up, they don't make money. We understand that things happen but if we are given enough notice we can typically fill your appointment time and really appreciate the notice!
